The Alden Copley last runs true to size. It is used most often on our Alden Flex Welt Penny Loafers, but there are some oxford make-ups on the Copley as well.
The Copley last has a soft, rounder toe, but it is a bit narrower in the toe when compared to the Aberdeen. The flexible sole of the flex welt construction allows for an easier break-in period and can help to reduce heel slip. This Flex Welt Penny Loafer from Alden comes on the Copley last with a glove-soft, flexible leather upper. The flex welt construction consists of a flex insole and oiled flex leather outsole and offers more flexibility for an extremely comfortable out-of-the-box feel. You'll find comfort without compromising durability thanks to both the oil treatment of the leather outsole and the tempered steel shank that is found in every Alden New England shoe. The Copley last creates a softly curved toe shape that slowly drops off to the welt of the shoe.
