The Aberdeen last is Alden's most true last. This means that out of all the lasts Alden uses, the Aberdeen fits most like a traditional dress shoe. This trim and well-proportioned last makes a great foundation for sleek boots, dress shoes, and loafers.
The Aberdeen features a slightly taped toe that has a soft drop-off, and is extremely versatile. It runs a bit long to help accomodate most feet with a neutral instep.
Watch in this video as our very own Joe Zapatka discusses the profile and fitting properties of the Aberdeen Last.
Recently, we ran an "Alden Fit Fact Friday" e-mail newsletter series. The aim of this series was to share details about the different Alden Lasts to help you find your perfect fit. We are adding some of this information here to help enhance your Alden experience.
